Guntur District Collector Clarifies, AP CM’s Camp Office Not A Red Zone

On the 18th of April, Samuel Anand Kumar, the District Collector of Guntur, clarified the rumours regarding Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence and camp office to be the red zone for the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

There was news that The residence of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) and the camp office has been announced as a red zone after the death of a woman.   The woman was a resident of Maruti Apartment near old toll gate in Tadepalli and died on the 18th of April. Though she did not die due to the Coronavirus, she tested positive for the infection.

However, the Guntur District Collector, cleared that Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s residence and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party’s (YSRCP) camp office is not in the red zone for COVID-19.

Meanwhile, on the 18th of April, Andhra Pradesh reported 31new cases taking the total tally to 603.  Out of 603, 546 are active cases, 42 recovered and 15 deaths were reported till date.
