Mangalagiri: Jana Sena leader Yellaturu Sreenivasa Raju is ahead of all other aspirants to get Rajampet assembly ticket from Jana Sena, Telugu Desam and BJP alliance. With vast experience in the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Sreenivasa Raju is promising inclusive development of Rajampet.
Raju who hails from an orthodox Kshatria family in Pathuru village of Rajampet assembly constituency and has a strong political background at root level. Father Y. Venkata Raju worked as Sarpanch, Patur from 1989-94. Raju’s Brother Y. Siva Ramaraju was elected as MPTC member, Patu and also served as ZPTC member from Telugu Desam Party during 2014 elections.
Raju rendered more than 25 years of Service in DRDA, Kadapa in different cadres. He ;ater worked as Sr. General Manager (Finance & Accounts), AP Rajiv Swagruha Corporation from 2016 to 2023. Sreenivasa Raju retired as Chief Accounts Officer, APTIDCO, Vijayawada in 2023.
Raju joined Jana Sena and vigorously working at ground level to lead the party to victory at Rajampet which is a key constituency at CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s own district YSR Kadapa.
Sources said that the alliance had cleared the name of Raju considering his capabilities and response for his political campaigns at grass root level. He Organized mega medical camps at Rayachoti, Lakkireddipalli and Rajampet and blood donations camps, Eye surgery camps across YSR District.
Donated tri-cycles to physically challenged persons and books to orphan students with his personal funding.
Sreenivasa Raju says that he is working hard to spread the ideology of Pawan Kalyan and wishes to develop Rajampet into a model constituency if given a chance. “I always dreamt of developing my home land. Youth and women at Rajampet are facing many problems with lack of employment and migrating to Bangalore and Chennai. I wish to bring industries and the IT sector to develop this region,” Raju said.
He is confident of achieving Rajampet assembly seat in alliance and winning it with ease.
