Vijayawada: Janasena Political Affairs Committee (PAC) chairman Nadendla Manohar alleged around Rs.120 crores worth scam in purchase of Vidya Kanuka kits in the state. Manohar on Tuesday started a daily program of exposing scams of the YSRCP government.

 

Addressing media at Mangalagiri party office Manohar said that Enforcement Directorate unearthed discrepancies in purchase or ‘Jagan Anna Vidya Kanuka’ lits while they are investigating a case at Delhi and UP.

 

Manohar said that the state government allocated Rs. 2400 crore worth tenders to five companies mainly from Delhi and UP to supply Vidya Kanaka kits which comprise of school bags, books, shoes, uniform and others. 

 

Manohar alleged that total enrolled students at government schools are 35 lakhs and the government procured around 42 lakhs which itself is a scam. He said that ED had complete details of the discrepancies in procurement of school kits and TDP, Janasena government will order enquiry as soon as they come into power. 

 

Manohar also alleged that the state government is intentionally delaying the purchase of 32 thousand interactive flat panel (IFP) boards at schools with infighting between leaders in awarding tenders.
