Vijayawada: For the first time, the Varahi festival will be celebrated at Indrakiladri from July 6 to 15, announced Sridurga Malleswaraswamy Devasthanam’s Evo Rama Rao on Sunday. Speaking to the media, he outlined the extensive preparations made for the event, which promises to be a significant religious gathering.

The festivities will commence with the Ashadamasa Sare Mahotsavam, a month-long celebration starting on July 6, where devotees will have the opportunity to offer sarees to the goddess. All arrangements have been completed to ensure a smooth and devotional experience for the attendees.

Highlighting the schedule, Rama Rao mentioned that the Telangana Mahankali Festival Committee will present bonas on July 14, adding a unique cultural touch to the celebrations. Following this, the Shakambari Devi festival will take place from July 19 for three days, attracting devotees from various regions.

During the festival period, protocol darshans will be temporarily halted to accommodate the influx of devotees and the special events planned. The initiative marks a new chapter in the temple’s tradition, aiming to enhance the spiritual experience for all visitors.
