After a week of government formation in Karnataka, the Indian National Congress is all set to expand its Cabinet.

According to sources, at least 20 to 24 new ministers would take the oath of office, as cabinet ministers in Karnataka and would be inducted in the Siddaramaiah led Karnataka Government.  The expansion came a week after Mr. Siddaramaiah took the oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka and Mr. D.K. Shivakumar was sworn in as the Deputy CM of Karnataka.

Meanwhile, the ministers who would take the oath at an event scheduled on the 27th of May, Saturday, are finalized after a meeting held between Mr. Siddaramaiah, Mr. D.K. Shivakumar, Mr. K.C. Venugopal, the General Secretary of the INC and Mr. Randeep Singh Surjewala, the senior leader of the INC.  The meeting was held on the 25th of May, and lasted for more than five hours. The names were finalized and sent to Mr. Mallikarjun Kharge, the President of the INC, who would take the final call.

Meanwhile, as per the source,  20 to 24 more ministers would take the oath on Saturday around 11.30 A.M.
