Hyderabad: Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha’s relatives houses. ED intensified searches after the arrest of Kavitha and Delhi Chief Minister Aravind Kezrival.
The ED questioned Kavitha’s husband Anil earlier and now targeted Anil’s family members. ED conducted searches at the house of Anil’s sister Akila at Hyderabad city.
Meanwhile, Kavitha’s custody is going to end on Saturday and ED is likely to produce her at the ED special court located at Rouse Avenue at Delhi. Sources said that ED is likely to request the court to extend the custody for three more days.
ED is planning to question Delhi CM Kezrival and Kalvakuntla Kavitha together to collect the key evidence and information related to the Delhi liquor scam.
Former Telnagana CM and BRS chief KCR condemned the arrests of Kavitha and Kezrival. He termed them as the political stunts played by BJP. KCR alleged that BJP has no guts to face BRS directly and hence used ED and CBI to suppress his party.
