P.V. Krishna, the Managing Director (MD) of the Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) donated a huge amount to fight the Novel Coronavirus to the Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) Government.
On the 27th of March, P.V. Krishna donated a sum of Rs. 5 crores to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government.
Mr. Krishna met Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of A.P., and gave the cheque of Rs. 5 crores to him. The amount would be added to the Chief Minister Relief fund to tackle the pandemic Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the State.
Besides A.P., the MEIL also donated money to Karnataka and Odisha for the relief operations. The company gave Rs. 2 crores to Karnataka Government and Rs. 1 crore to Odisha Government.
According to source, Mr. Krishna decided to contribute in the precautionary measures and donate funds to CM relief funds of other states as well. The MEIL would donate the money to other states on the 28th of March.
