HRD Minister Nara Lokesh reviewing the IT sector in the state

Amaravati: State Education, IT, and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh has instructed authorities to enhance confidence among existing IT and electronics companies and attract new industrialists to Andhra Pradesh. At his residence in Undavalli on Friday, Lokesh reviewed the current status of IT and electronics departments and explored the potential for new industries.

Minister Lokesh announced the introduction of a new IT policy designed to attract IT and electronics industries with investor-friendly plans. He emphasized the need to improve the pre-2019 portal for monitoring investments in these sectors. Authorities were tasked with providing a report on the plug-and-play infrastructure available for IT industries in Visakhapatnam. Additionally, officials were ordered to compile a detailed report on land availability for new industries in the region.

Lokesh urged officials to engage with IT and electronics industrialists to understand and address their needs and challenges, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. The meeting was attended by IT and Electronics Department Secretary Kona Shasidhar, JD (Promotions) Surjit Singh, Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society CEO Anil Kumar, ACETA General Manager Vijayakanth, and others.
