Mangalagiri: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is a treasure for the Amaravati region, said state governor Abdul Nazeer. He hoped that the prestigious medical institution will become a major hub for the affordable treatment in the state.
He attended as a guest at the virtual inauguration of AIIMS Mangalagiri campus on Sunday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the AIIMS from Rajkot and dedicated it to the nation.
Governor Abdul Nazeer said that AIIMS doctors played a crucial role during the COvid-19 crisis and saved thousands of lives. He said that AIIMS is known for providing top quality health care at a very nominal cost.
AIIMS Mangalagiri was constructed with a total amount of Rs. 1618 crores. Prime minister laid the foundation for 9 critical care units at AIIMS. Minister for state for health Bharati Pawar said that the Prime Minister inaugurated health care projects worth Rs.1800 crores in AP in a single day.
She said that BJP is committed to the development and progress of Andhra Pradesh.
