Mr. Pawan Kalyan, the Chief of the JanaSena Party, reacted to the recent controversy of ban on public meetings in Andhra Pradesh and stampede incidents.
On the 4th of January, Mr. Pawan Kalyan tweeted, “ఓదార్పు యాత్ర పేరు మీద దశాబ్దం పాటు యాత్రలు చేయచ్చు, రోడ్ షోలు చేయచ్చు కాని; ప్రభుత్వ వైఫల్యాల మీద ప్రతిపక్షాలు – ఎన్నికలు దగ్గర పడుతున్న సమయంలో జనంలో తిరగడానికి కూడా అనుమతించకపోతే ఎలా??
మీరు అధికారంలో లేనప్పడు ఒక రూలు, మీరు అధికారంలోకి వచ్చాక ఇంకో రూలా??”

The statement of Mr. Pawan Kalyan came after the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) imposed a ban on public meetings and roadshows in the State. While releasing the Government Order (GO) in this regard, the Andhra Pradesh Government cited the recent unfortunate killings of people during the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) organised meetings in Kandupur and Guntur amid the stampede situation. In the two incidents, eight TDP workers and three people lost their lives, respectively.
Taking serious note of the killings amid overcrowding at the two public meeting venues, the YSRCP Govermment imposed a ban on public meetings.
