Hyderabad: The Union government has sanctioned another Vande Bharat Rail for Andhra Pradesh. Prime minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the second Vande Bharat rail between Vishakaptnam and Hyderabad on March 12, 2024.
Nartendra A Patil divisional railway manager (DRM) of Vijayawada division said that the PM will virtually inaugurate the train. He said that 133 One station One product centers, 7 goods sheds, two rail coach restaurants, will be inaugurated.
He added that 12 third lines and Vijayawada bypass line will also be inaugurated. Patil added that the new Vande Bharat train will start at Hyderabad at 05.05 am and reach Vizag at 1.50 pm. In return the train will start from Vizag at 2.35 pm and reach Hyderabad at 11.20 pm.
Huge response for the Vande Bharat express pushed us to start a new service, DRM said. Railway ministry is giving top priority for completion of pending railway projects in the state, he asserted.
