Vijayawada: Tension prevailed at Enikepadu in the city after city police stalled the procession of AP Congress Committee (APCC) president YS Sharmila Reddy. Sharmila stalled her rally midway and staged a protest against the police restrictions. Heated arguments between police and Sharmila created high tension in the city.
Sharmila alleged that the government is afraid of her and hence created so many obstacles for her procession. She said that her fight for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden continues.
Sharmila indirectly targeted her brother and AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and said that Sir is afraid of her political journey.
YS Sharmila landed at Gannavaram airport and started to Aahwanam Kalyana Mandapam for swearing in ceremony.
Meanwhile, Vijayawada city police commissioner Kranti Rana Tata denied the allegations made by Sharmila, he said that the procession is diverting the route and hence asked the leaders to reroute their rally.
