Ongole: YSRCP’s Siddham meeting is yet again in news after a few media houses and representatives were banned from covering the event. Bapatla police served notices to a few media personnel and threatened to initiate action if they attended the Siddham public meeting addressed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

YSRCP is conducting the Siddham public meetings across the state. Last Siddham public meeting is scheduled at Medarametla on Sunday. YSRCP is expecting around 10 lakh followers of YS Jagan at the meeting.

Around 3000 buses were engaged to carry the public to the public meeting from various parts of the state. Meanwhile, Bapatla division police served notices under sec.149. The notices restricted the media from attending the public meeting. Working journalists associations condemned the notices and opined that the police acts are a clear violation of the fundamental right and freedom of speech.
