The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on the 5th of June, criticised the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government for the increasing number of the Novel Coronavirus cases.
TDP President Chandrababu Naidu lashed out at Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, for not taking proper measures to control the spread of the virus.
The discussion and comments were made during a virtual meeting of the TDP, held on the night of the 4th of June.
The TDP meeting was regarding the increasing cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 in the State in the past few days.
The Party expressed concern over the rise in the number of positive cases. Chandrababu Naiud, who chaired the meeting said if the cases would not control, the economic situation would be affected badly.
Criticising the YSRCP Government of corruption and anti investment activities, the TDP President said, the State is already suffering economically due to the decisions of the YSRCP.
Mr. Naidu also expressed anger over several cases being reported at Guntur’s wholesale vegetable market, a hot spot for the spread of the virus in the region.
In regard to the Environment Day on the 5th of June, the TDP said, the State Government,YSRCP is not taking measures to protect the environment. Illegal sand mining and other such activities are a part of the YSRCP Government.
Meanwhile, the YSRCP Government claimed to handle the situation and control the situation of the Novel Coronavirus in the State.
Andhra Pradesh reported a total of 4,460 cases of the COVID-19 infection with 1,766 active cases, 2,621 recovered cases and 73 fatalities till the 6th of June.
