TDP President Chandrababu Naidu Addresses Kurnool Road Show Amid AP Municipal Elections

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) kickstarted campaigning for the Party candidates for the Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporation elections.

On the 4th of March, Mr. Naidu toured Kurnool district and addressed a road shows in many places of the district.  The TDP leaders of Kurnool made all the necessary arrangements of Mr. Naidu’s visit.

This is the first time in the past 15 years that Kurnool would conduct the Municipal Corporation elections.  This year, senior leaders of the TDP are campaigning for the civic polls.  After recent defeat in the Panchayat polls, the TDP is aiming hard with campaigs and strategies to win people and mark a victory in the upcoming local bodies elections.

During his Kurnool road shows, Mr. Naidu addressed the public and assured growth and development in the district.  He also criticised the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government.  He said the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy led YSRCP Government has failed in all fronts.

In his criticism, Mr. Naidu said in Andhra Pradesh, the YSRCP is having ABCD rule, where A stands for Atrocities, B for Badudu (imposing high taxes,) C for corruption and D for Destruction.

Mr. Naidu said, “During the regime of (the) Telugu Desam Party, we have given top priority for development.  Now the Jagan headed regime is giving top priority for destruction.”  He further appealed voters to cast their vote for the TDP and said, “If you lose the opportunity of casting vote, you will lose the opportunity of questioning the rulers.”

While Nara Chandrababu Naidu was campaigning in Kurnool, Nara Lokesh, the Son of Chandrababu Naidu and the General Secretary of the TDP launched campaign for elections in Chittoor.

Several TDP leaders are scheduled to campaign extensively for the next four days, till the 8th of March.  The State Election Commission (SEC) announced the 8th of March to be the last day for campaigning for the upcoming Municipal elections.

The Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections for 12 corporations and 75 municipalities would be held on the 10th of March. The major parties contesting the elections are, the YSRCP, the TDP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Municipal elections would be announced on the 14th of March.
