Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) called the parties to prepare for the graduate Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) elections in Andhra Pradesh.
On the 2nd of September, Friday, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu announced the names of the candidates for the graduation elections, representing the TDP. As per the announcement, TDP leader Ms. Bhumi Reddy Ramgopal Reddy is the graduate MLC candidate from West Rayalaseema and Mr. Kancharla Srikanth is the candidate for East Rayalaseema.
The candidate name for the Visakhapatnam MLC constituency of the TDP would be announced later, said the party sources.
Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu also gave a statement on the coming alliances in the upcoming elections. There were speculations of the TDP joining the National Democratic Alliance for the upcoming elections in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh. However, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu refused any direct clear comments on the alliance rumour and said, a decision would be taken depending on the need for the State and explained that he had not spoken about alliances so far.
Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh Graduate MLC elections are likely to be held soon in the State.
