TDP President Lashes Out At YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Over Attack On Opposition

Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) lashed out at the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

He said the A.P., CM is ruling the State anarchically.  The heated comments of Mr. Chandrababu was after a senior leader of the TDP K. Atchannaidu along with 22 others were arrested.

Criticising the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) for the same, Mr. Naidu said  the ruling YSRCP leaders were behaving like rowdies and strongly condemned the attack on TDP leader.

He also criticised the YSRCP leaders for the arrest and misbehaving with the TDP leaders amid the Grama Panchayat elections.

Mr. Naidu visited TDP Leader Pattabhi at his residence in Vijayawada and asked for details about the incident.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu told the media that he was deeply anguish with the attitude of the YSRCP leaders.

Nara Chandrababu said the situation today would not have come about if action had been taken when Pattabhi was attacked for the first time.

He demanded that DGP Gautam Sawang to respond to this and said, .”Jagan is not the one who pays the salaries of the police; it is the money of the people. “

Naidu fumed at the DGP and  warned that YSRCP leaders would not even come out if the people revolt and expressed concern that the attack took place in a colony named after Ambedkar, who wrote the constitution.

Chandrababu said TDP leaders would give a memorandum to the chief minister tand people should also think about such attacks.  He expressed concern that even the girl child would not be protected if the people were negligent during the Government’s rule.  He said Jagan’s strategy was to intimidate those who criticise him to commit suicide with threats.

The incidents came at a time, when the State is scheduled to conduct the first phase of the Grama Panchayat elections.

The A.P., Grama Panchayat elections are scheduled to be held in four phases. While the first phase is scheduled on the 9th of February, the remaining three phases are on the 13th of February, the 17th of February and the 21st of February, respectively.
