In order to strengthen the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the Telugu State of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.)
On the 22nd of February, Tuesday, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, the National President of the TDP held a meeting with leaders of the TDP. The meeting was held in view of the Pulivendula Assembly elections in 2024.
In order to establish the TDP and strengthen the Party in Pulivendula, the TDP President is conducting a series of meetings with the constituency leaders.
According to sources, the TDP also gave clarity about the TDP candidate, contesting the Pulivendula Assembly election. Mr. Mareddy Rabindranath Reddy popular as BTech Ravi has been finalised as the TDP candidate for the Pulivendula Assembly seat in Kadapa district. Gearing up for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu clarified that Mareddy Rabindranath Reddy would contest in Pulivendula, which is the constituency of Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Pulivendula.
After deciding on the TDP candidate, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu also discussed the campaign in the district, organised by the opposition, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
It is to be noted, the YSRCP is organising a campaign for the return of former Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) Mr. Satish Reddy, who had contested from Pulivendula in the last elections and later resigned from the party. Mr. Chandrababu Naidu directed all the leaders to move forward with the TDP ranks and strengthen the TDP locally.
Meanwhile, BTech Ravi who is currently is an MLC, would also continue to be the Pulivendula constituency TDP in charge.
