TDP’s Ganta Srinivasa Likely To Join YSRCP After Follower Joins Party

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s follower Kashi Vishwanath recently joined the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)    On the 3rd of March, Kashi Vishwanath joined the ruling YSRCP in Visakhapatnam.

In regard to his joining, the YSRCP Member of Parliament (MP) Vijayasai Reddy made a statement.  Mr. Reddy said if the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and the YSRCP President Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy approved his joining, there will be no second thought on it.

Kashi Vishwanath joined the YSRCP in a small event organised at Visakhapatnam in the presence of several YSRCP leaders.

In addition, there are speculations about the TDP Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ganta Srinivasa Rao would soon join the YSRCP.  He has sent his proposal expressing to join the YSRCP, but his proposal is pending with Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

While many YSRCP leaders are in favour of Ganta Srinivasa Rao joining the YSRCP, many leaders are also against it.  However, a final announcement regarding MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s joining is awaited.  If Mr. Rao joins the YSRCP by quitting the TDP, it would be a major drawback for the TDP.

The effect of the same would be visible in the upcoming Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporation elections.

The Andhra Pradesh Municipal elections for 12 corporations and 75 municipalities would be held on the 10th of March.  The major parties fighting the elections are, the YSRCP, the TDP, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the JanaSena Party.

The results of the Municipal elections would be announced on the 14th of March.

Stay tuned for further updates.
