Telangana Government Administers 2.6 Lakh COVID-19 Vaccine Doses, Total At 3.38 Crores

On the 8th of November, Monday, the Telangana Government administered a total of 2,63,327 vaccine doses against Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

The 2.6 lakh COVID-19 doses were administered to people who are 18 year old and above across the Telugu State. Out of the 2,63,327 COVID-19 vaccines, a total of 1,21,405 consisted of first dose while 1,41,922 were second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

According to the State Government data, there are 2.50 crore eligible individuals in Telangana who have to be administered with two doses of Covid vaccines, which amounts to nearly 5 crore doses of the vaccine.

As on Monday, the 8th of November, the State Government led by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) administered 3,38,23,553 doses of COVID-19 vaccines.  of the total, 2,32,83,129 were first dose of COVID-19 vaccines while 1,05,40,424 comprised the second doses.

In addition, among the eligible individuals between 18 years and 44 years, a total of 1,86,60,845 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered out of which 1,36,04,818 consisted first dose while the remaining 50,56,027 were the second dose of Covid vaccines.

Meanwhile, till the 9th of November, Telangana now has 6,72,650 positive cases, of which 3,750 are active cases, 6,64,933 are recovered/discharged cases and 3,967 are deceased.

The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.85% and the fatality rate of COVID-19 remained constant for the past five months at 0.58 %.
