On the 9th of November, Tuesday, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Information Technology and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, inaugurated a government high school building in Janagama village in Bibipet mandal, Telangana. Mr. Rama Rao was accompanied by the Telangana Education Minister Ms. P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, the Roads and Buildings Minister Mr. V. Prashanth Reddy and other elected public representatives of the Telangana Government. The inaugurated building was a newly constructed Government High School building to enhance the education of the children of the village.
The school building was constructed by a private contractor Mr. Subhash Reddy with a cost of Rs.6 crores. He studied in the school and constructed a new building with his own funds for the students of the region.
Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister, appreciated the efforts of Mr. Subhash Reddy and said he had set a new benchmark. Mr. Rama Roa said, “It was perhaps the best Government High School at mandal level in the State.” He further added, “Inspired by him, I too will construct a new building for the Primary School in the neighbouring Konapur village, which is also my grandmother’s native village.”
The Telangana Minister also appealed to all the financially well to do people to take up such noble works and contribute to the Government’s development programmes. Irrespective of politics, people should participate in such programmes and address local issues, he said. Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy said with State Government conducting online classes in government schools across the State on par with private schools, admissions into government schools had increased drastically.
Inspired by the work and appeal of Mr. K.T.Rama Rao, the TRS Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. B.B. Patil announced a donation of Rs 11 lakh towards fund for maintenance of the newly inaugurated school.
