Tirumala: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has issued a stern warning to suppliers of ghee following concerns over quality. In a review meeting led by TTD Executive Officer (EO) Sri J. Syamala Rao and TTD Joint EO for Health and Education Smt. Goutami, it was revealed that ghee samples from one of five suppliers failed to meet the required standards and were found to be adulterated.
The ghee samples were tested by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). Based on the results, a showcause notice has been issued, and the supplier faces blacklisting for violating tender norms.
TTD has warned all suppliers of strict action if they fail to comply with quality standards. The move aims to ensure that the laddu prasadams served to devotees remain both hygienic and flavorful.
