TTD Makes Plans for a Busy December

Tirumala sees a large number of devotees during important religious occasions. With a major annual event coming up in December, temple officials have started preparing to manage the expected crowds.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has reviewed arrangements for the 10-day Vaikunta Dwara Darshan, scheduled from December 20 to 29.

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary held a review meeting with Chief Vigilance and Security Officer K. V. Murali Krishna and other officials in Tirumala on November 5.

Officials plan to provide online Slotted Sarva Darshan tokens through an electronic dip for the first three days. Sarva Darshan will be available for the remaining seven days.

TTD said 7.83 lakh devotees had darshan during the event last year. Officials have been asked to make similar arrangements this time.

The temple body will also monitor queue lines through its Integrated Command Control Centre. It is planning special security and parking arrangements, especially for the final seven days.
