In a major development regarding the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, a union minister said, the Centre is not moving ahead with the VSP Privatization.
Mr. Faggan Singh Kulaste, the Union Minister of State for Steel and Urban Development, reached Visakhapatnam. He arrived in a special flight to participate in many programs organized in Visakhapatnam. During the visit, Mr. Faggan Singh Kulaste would meet with the management of the steel plant and would review the latest situation amid the VSP Privatization Issue.
During a media briefing, the Union Minister said, “Centre was not moving forward on privatization of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. It first wants to strengthen RINL (Rashtriya Ispat Nigam.) He said the government will try to ensure that the plant’s health is restored.
Mr. Faggan Singh Kulaste would later hold meetings with the VSP Plant Management and Labour unions to discuss the ongoing VSP privatization matter.
