On the 13th of April, Thursday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed the highest cases of the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.)

The infection count reported today – a sharp jump from yesterday when 7,830 cases were reported – has taken the total number of Covid cases reported in the country to 4,42,10,127.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 4.42% while the weekly positivity rate was 4.02%. The active cases now constitute 0.10 per cent of the total infections. The nationwide COVID-19 recovery rate has been recorded at 98.71%, whereas the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.19%.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of Covid vaccine have been administered in the country.
The Union Health Ministry and medical experts said, the COVID-19 cases rise is in an endemic stage and will start subsidizing after 10 to 12 days. Furthermore, highlighting the major reason behind the sudden Wuhan Virus surge, the experts said low rate of testing, not following COVID-19 appropriate behavior and emergence of new variants of the virus could be reasons for the rising number of COVID-19 cases.
