Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) on the 9th of October, gave orders to appoint Arogyamitra in all Arogyasree hospitals.
Mr. Reddy conducted a review meeting with the Arogyasree officials and the State Health Department officials. The meeting was scheduled to discuss the ongoing situation due to the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
During the meeting, he directed officials to appoint Arogyamitra and implement the grading system for medical services and facilities in hospitals.
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said the entire process should be completed within 15 days.
The Chief Minister said that the infrastructure in hospitals, access to doctors, quality medicines, sanitation, quality food, health all these six standards must be strictly enforced in Arogyasree hospitals.
In addition, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the officials to follow the same standard for tur Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 hospitals.
Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “Officers should review the performance of 104 call center from time to time making mock calls every day. Allocation of beds should take place within half an hour after making the phone call. Medical kits should be available to those who are home isolated.”
Today’s meeting was attended by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Alla Nani, the State Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney and Director General of Police (DGP) Gautam Sawang.
