Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, on the 25th of August, conducted a video conference with collectors of all districts.
The virtual meeting was held as part of the response program in different districts of Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Speaking on the occasion,Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that collectors should focus on the management of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 hospitals in the State. He was outraged at the complaints coming in that hospitals were charging higher rates for the COVID-19 treatment than the prices fixed by the YSRCP Government.
CM YS Jagan warned that strict action would be taken if more money was collected from COVID-19 victims.
Similarly, the CM clarified that the collectors were not responsible for giving beds to the victims within half an hour in COVID-19 hospitals.
Officers were directed to prioritize incoming calls to 104, 14410 call centers and take immediate action.
In addition, during the virtual meeting Mr. Reddy also reviewed the Godavari floods and directed the authorities to prepare estimates on crop damage by the 7th of September.
