As of the 25th of August, Telangana hospitals have a total of 18,016 vacant beds for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients.
The number of vacant beds are combined of government hospitals and private teaching hospitals.
The beds availability update is released on an everyday basis by the State Health bulletin.
The beds in private teaching hospitals are provided for free of cost by the State Government.
In Government hospitals there are 5,572 vacant beds available while the total number of beds available in private hospitals are 4,934 in Telangana.
Beds in Government hospitals and private teaching hospitals (combined)
Isolation beds: 12,284 (available,) 725 (occupied) and 11,559 (vacant.)
Oxygen Beds: 5,861 (available,) 1,040 (occupied) and 4,821 (vacant.)
ICU beds: 2,251 (available,) 615 (occupied) and 1,636 (vacant.)
Total: 20,396 (available,) 2,380 (occupied) and 18,016 (vacant.)
Beds in Government Hospitals:
Regular isolation beds: 2,055 (total,) 725 (occupied) and 1,330 (vacant.)
Beds with Oxygen supply: 4,673 (total,) 1,040 (occupied) and 3,633 (vacant.)
ICU beds with ventilators: 1,224 (total,) 615 (occupied) and 609 (vacant.)
Total: 7,952 (total,) 2,380 (occupied) and 5,572 (vacant.)
Beds in private hospitals:
Regular isolation beds: 3,273 (total,) 1,504 (occupied) and 1,769 (vacant.)
Beds with Oxygen supply: 3,986 (total,) 1,876 (occupied) and 2,110 (vacant.)
ICU beds with ventilators: 1,806 (total,) 751 (occupied) and 1,055 (vacant.)
Total: 9,065 (total,) 4,131 (occupied) and 4,934 (vacant.)
Meanwhile, Telangana has a total of 1,08,670 cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Of the total, 23,737 are active cases, 84,163 are recovered/discharged and 770 deceased.
