Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, disbursed Jagananna Videshi Deevena scheme money.
On the 3rd of February, Friday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, released the money into the bank accounts of 213 students, who are studying in foreign universities. Launched in 2023, the Jagananna Videshi Deevena scheme is one of its kind schemes, to support the education of eligible poor students, belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC,) the Scheduled Tribe (ST) and other backward class people. The selection process for the Jagananna Videshi Deevena scheme was done in a transparent manner, based on the admissions of the students in the top 200 students, on their merit skills, overseas.
In the first tranche, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government released an amount of Rs. 19.95 crores to all eligible students.
On this occasion, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “We have started another good program giving opportunity to poor students from SC, ST, BC Minority and other castes to study in top universities in the world.”
