Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, laid the foundation stoen and performed Bhoomi puja for the Amul project at Chittoor Dairy.
On the 4th of July, Tuesday, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy arrived in the Chittoor district in a special flight and performed the ground breaking event. After his arrival, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy inspected the photo exhibition and later laid the foundation stone for the dairy works.
Highlighting about the Chittoor Amul Dairy, the project is undertaken by the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) at a cost of Rs. 385 crores. The work is expected to be completed in one year and the production would begin in April 2024. In the first phase, the YSRCP Government would set up a milk processing unit . In the second phase, the Government would be setting up the largest ice cream plant in the country with Rs. 150 crore followed by a dairy factory along with Ultra High Treatment (UHT) plant. Through this dairy restoration, employment opportunities will be provided to 5,000 people directly and 2 lakh people indirectly besides benefitting 25 lakh dairy farmers.
After the event, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to address a public meeting at the Chittoor Police Parade Grounds.
Furthermore, besides the Amul Dairy, the State CM is also scheduled to lay the foundation stone for the construction of a 300-bed hospital building at the CMC hospital premises.
Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to return to Tadepalli, at the party camp office by evening of the 4th of July.
