Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) is on a two day visit to Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.

He left for Tirupati at 2:00 P.M., in a special flight and visited the Tirumala temple. During his visit, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister offered prayers and silk garments to Lord Venkateshwar. He also participated in the ongoing Tirumala Salakatla Brahmotsavam, which entered its fifth day on Monday. The annual event of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) started from the 7th of October and would continue till the 15th of October. Due to the Wuhan virus pandemic, the event is said to be a low key affair, with no participation of devotees, due to restrictions.

During the visit, the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) President is also going to inaugurate a new paediatric wing in the premises of Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) Hospital in Tirupati. He would also inaugurate the newly built Go Mandiram at Pandala Mandapam and boondi making kitchen complex worth Rs. 15 crores and Rs. 2 crores, respectively, today.

After the inaugural events, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy would attend a headscarf event in Tirumala.

Highlighting the schedule of Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the next day, the 12th of October, he is going to launch Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) in Kannada and Hindi languages worth Rs. 12 crores. He is also scheduled to attend a presentation on the new programs implemented by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and the TTD-Farmer Empowerment Agency programme.

The YSRCP officials and Mr. Hari Narayanan, the District Collector of Tirupati have made all the arrangements for Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s stay in Tirupati. He is going to reside at Padmavathi Guest House today and tomorrow.

Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to return to Tadepalli, on the evening of the 12th of October.
