Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) officially withdrew the Three Capitals Law in the Legislative session.
On the 22nd of November, Monday, the A.P., Government decided to repeal the law. Later, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the same in the Assembly session.
During the session, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the A.P., Government has not given up the idea of three capitals. He said, “It is just an interval. The State Government would come up with a new bill on three capitals taking legal and other objections into consideration.”
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “The bill to repeal three capital act is only to facilitate the Government to come up with a proper revised bill. ” With unanimous votes, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly passed the bill to repeal the three capitals bill, passed in 2020.
