Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled to inaugurate the third unit of the Genco Thermal Plant in Muthukur Mandal, Nellore district in Andhra Pradesh.
On the 19th of October, Wednesday, Mr. K. Govardhan Reddy, the Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh said that the State CM would formally dedicate the third unit of Genco thermal plant in Muthukur Mandal to the nation. The inauguration of the awaited third unit of the thermal plant is set for the 27th of October. The German bank had provided a loan of Rs. 1,871 crores for the project and Rs. 4,786 crores was financed by the Power Finance Corporation Limited.
The total cost of the project including first and the second unit of the Genco Thermal Plant was Rs. 12,300 crores and 17,764 tonnes of coal per day has been estimated to be utilised for the generation of power from the two units. Of the total project expenses, the third unit has been completed with around Rs. 4,800 crores. The latest projects has been established in Andhra Pradesh for quality power generation in the State, without any difficulty for the citizens.
Furthermore, speaking about the arrangements, Mr. K. Govardhan Reddy reviewed all the arrangements for the inauguration along with the concerned officials on the 18th of October. The arrangements which were reviewed by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Minister include parking, helipad arrangements, pylon, security of the State CM and others for the inauguration event.
Notably, besides inaugurating the thermal plant, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would also hand over the non fishermen package to the villagers, affected by the recent floods in the State. As per sources, villagers of Muthukuru Mandal, who possessed white ration cards by April 2019 would get the non fishermen package.
