Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is scheduled to inaugurate the third unit of the AP GENCO (power generation Company) project in Nelathuru village of Muthukur Mandal, Nellore.
The launch of the awaited power plant is scheduled on the 27th of October, Thursday. The project is being carried out with a loan of Rs. 1,871 crores from German Bank, KFW (Kreditanstalt Fur Wiederaufbau) and Rs. 4,786 crores was financed by the Power Finance Corporation Limited. It is to be noted, the total cost of the project including the first and the second unit of the Genco Thermal Plant was Rs. 12,300 crores and 17,764 tonnes of coal per day has been estimated to be utilised for the generation of power from the two units. The two units were completed in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Moreover, of the total project expenses, the third unit has been completed with around Rs. 4,800 crores.
The third unit of the GENCO Project would be dedicated to the nation, resolving power issues and having quality power generation in the State, without any difficulty for the citizens.
Furthermore, speaking about the arrangements, Mr. K.V.N. Chakradhar, the District Collector of Nellore, along with other concerned officials reviewed all the arrangements for the inauguration. The arrangements which were reviewed by the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders and officials include parking, helipad arrangements, pylons, security of the State CM and others for the inauguration event.
Moreover, highlighting the schedule of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, he would leave from Gannavaram Airport on the 27th of October, at 9:30 A.M., and would reach the helipad set up at Krishnapatnam at 10:55 A.M. From there, at 11:10 A.M., to 1:10 P.M., he would reach the third unit (800 MW) of the APGENCO project at Nelathuru, inspect the project and dedicate it to the nation.
Later, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy would participate in a public meeting and address the people of Nellore.
After the power packed day at Nellore, Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is scheduled to return to Tadepalli on the evening of the 27th of October, Thursday.
