The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) led Andhra Pradesh Government, on the 16th of March, Wednesday, released the Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme installment.

The Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy Government released an amount of Rs. 708 crores for 10.82 lakh students of Andhra Pradesh.  The released amount would be debited directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries for October 2021 to December 2021 quarter fees.  Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, released the amount from the YSRCP Camp Office in Tadepalli, Andhra Pradesh.

Furthermore, the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government also decided to release the money on a quarterly basis from now onwards.

While releasing the money, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy said, “Education is the only solution to eradicate poverty.  If a child in a village is educated, the entire village can benefit from it.  Further, the Government is ensuring to reduce college dropouts across the State.  Debt settlement can make a huge difference to lead to successful completion of course/education.”

With this, so far the YSRCP Government released a total of Rs. 9,274 crores under the Jagananna Vidya Deevena and Jaganna Vasathi Deevena (Lodging and boarding charges) Scheme.  Of the total released money, Rs 1,778 crore is arrears  kept by the previous State Government, the Telugu Desam Party and Rs. Rs 6969 crore for Jagananna Vidya Deevena, and Rs. 2,305 crore for Jaganna Vasathi Deevena Scheme.

WIth these schemes and under the nadu-nedu initiative, the Andhra Pradesh Government led by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is aiming to enhance the education sector.  It is also known that the YSRCP also proposed to change government schools to English medium, enhancing the future of children studying at the State run schools.

During the Jagnanna Vidya Deevena Scheme installment launch, YSRCP Ministers like Mr. Adimulapu Suresh, Mr. Pinepe Viswaroop, the Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Dr. Sameer Sharma, the Andhra Pradesh State Higher Education (APSCHE)  Chairman Mr. K. Hemachandrareddy, the Minority Welfare Special Secretary Mr. Gandham Chandradu and other senior officials were present.
