On the 21st of April, Friday, Mr. Gudivada Amarnath, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) took charge as the State Cabinet Minister. He is the MLA of Anakapalle assembly constituency.
Mr. Gudivada Amarnath conducted a special pooja, following which took office charges as the Industries, Infrastructure, Investment and Information Technology (IT) Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.) The YSRCP officials and leaders attended the special pooja, held in the chamber of the Minister in the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. After the pooja, Mr. Gudivada Amarnath addressed the media and extended gratitude to Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, for providing him with this opportunity. Furthermore, the Minister assured to work for the development of the State and its people, in terms of investments, industries and IT sectors.
Addressing the media, Mr. Gudivada Amarnath said, “Visakhapatnam is a city that has the potential to compete with cities like Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai.” He further said, “We are fortunate to work under CM YS Jagan, the greatest administrator in the country.”
Meanwhile, after assuming office charges, the Industries, Infrastructure, Investment and Information Technology (IT) Minister signed the first agreement, approving Rs. 8 crore compensation to the farmers as part of the land acquisition required for the Ramayapatnam port.
Besides Mr. Gudivada Amarnath, Mr. Ambati Rambabu (water resources,) Mr. P. Rajanna Dora (Tribal Welfare) and Mr. Kakani Govardhan Reddy (Minister of Agriculture) would assume Ministry charges on the 21st of April.
