The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Government is scheduled to conduct a Cabinet meeting on the 13th of November.

Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (AP,) is going to chair the meeting, which will be held at the AP Secretariat in Velagapudi village in Guntur district, AP.

During the meeting, the Cabinet ministers are scheduled to discuss the various issues in AP and also approve new legislation pertaining to the sand policy.  The Cabinet is also expected to impose heavy fines and take stringent legal action against illegal sand excavation and transportation. The Cabinet would also discuss about celebrating sand week, which is expected to start from the 14th of November and continue till the 21st of November.

Apart from that, the Government is also likely to introduce an ordinance by amending the existing AP Mines and Mineral Act.

The other discussions during the meeting would be regarding the implementation of English medium education for pupils studying between 1st and 6th standard and the establishment of a mechanism to control the pollution in the State.

Another major discussion would be about the establishment of village courts after the successful establishment of village and ward secretariats.

Besides, another major issue in AP, finalising the State capital and the termination of the Singapore-AP Amaravati Development Project, are also expected to be discussed during today’s Cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet meeting is scheduled to begin at 11:30 A.M.
