On the 29th of May, the Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy confirmed about the non clearance of Anandaiah’s Ayurvedic medicine against the Wuhan virus.
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) Minister Mekapati Goutham Reddy addressed the media and said, Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) doctors from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) are yet to give clearance. He said, “We are waiting for the final report from the Ayush department.”
On the 22nd of May, a team led by the AYUSH Commissioner Ramulu Naik started studying Ayurvedic practitioner Anandiah’s Ayurvedic medicine for the Wuhan virus patients. The team of doctors visited Krishnapatnam village in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh and interacted with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients who took the Ayurvedic medicines
Meanwhile, the decision regarding the distribution of the Ayurvedic medicine would be taken by the Andhra Pradesh YSRCP Government. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh (A.P.,) would decide about the clearance, based on the report of the AYUSH doctors.
The local Ayurvedic medicine which is popular in A.P., is prepared by a local Ayurveda practitioner Bonigi Anandiah. The medicine which has been prepared in three categories, one for preventing the Wuhan virus, another for the infected people with mild symptoms, and the third one is for infected persons who are on oxygen support, is a huge relief to people who tested positive for the Wuhan virus. The medicine is purported to give a permanent solution and a speedy recovery from the infection.
