Addressing the media, Dr. Arora opined that people with comorbidity and underlying illness like Cancer should be very cautious about the new variant. He said that they have identified more than 400 sub variants of Covid-19 in India so far and asked people not to panic.
Arora opined that the new variant is not very dangerous, but still asked people to be cautious and practice Covid-19 preventive measures like wearing masks, hand sanitation and others.
“Patients affected with Omicron sub variant of COvid-19 experienced fever, cough, cold, dryness of throat, nausea and they recovered within five days. Patients with JN 1 are also experiencing similar symptoms and there is nothing much to worry,” Arora added.
