Anakapalli: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy didn’t mince words when he criticized TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu during the Memantha Siddham Yatra in Anakapalle. Jagan slammed Naidu’s 14-year tenure as Chief Minister, asserting his lack of substantial achievements in state development. Particularly, Jagan highlighted Naidu’s opposition to English medium education for underprivileged children, which, according to Jagan, could significantly improve their quality of life.

Jagan boasted about his administration’s welfare initiatives, including Gorumudda, Vidya Kanuka, and bilingual textbooks, aimed at lifting families out of poverty. He rallied support from a passionate crowd, accusing the opposition of instigating unrest out of fear of losing power.

Referring to Naidu’s disparaging remarks, Jagan questioned Naidu’s apprehension towards him as a “bacha” (kid), drawing parallels from historical narratives. He emphasized the overwhelming support from the people, contrasting it with Naidu’s reliance on political alliances.

Jagan concluded by reaffirming his commitment to welfare measures, suggesting Naidu’s opposition stems from fear of losing power. The dynamic exchange underscores the high stakes in Andhra Pradesh politics ahead of the upcoming elections.
