On the 10th May, India’s Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) single day cases reduced to 3.66 lakhs.  

After recording over 4 lakh fresh cases for four consecutive days, India witnessed a single day rise of 3,66,161 COVID-19 cases. In addition to the 3.66 new cases, the Nation reported 3,754 deaths and recoveries.

With this, till date, India has 22,662,575 positive cases, of which 37,45,237 are active cases, 18,671,222 are recovered/discharged cases and 2,46,116 are deceased cases. The updated figures were confirmed through the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) 

With this, 16.53 % of the total are active cases, 82.39 % are recovery rate and 1.09 % fatality rate of COVID-19 in India.

Meanwhile, according to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR,) a total of 30,37,50,077 samples have so far been tested COVID-19. Of the total samples, 14,74,606 were tested in the past 24 hours.

In addition, so far 17,01,76,603 people including people of age group between 18 to 44 took COVID-19 vaccination. According to sources, 11 states including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh started vaccination for the 18 to 44 age group.

Other states like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Assam and Madhya Pradesh are yet to begin due to the shortage of vaccination for people.
