India, on the 25th of November, Thursday, logged 9,119 new Novel Coronavirus- COVID-19) infections.
This is the second consecutive day that the nation reported a rise in COVID-19 cases, after reporting the lowest in the past 543 days (7,579) on the 23rd of November. Furthermore, a daily increase in fresh infections has been below 20,000 since 48 days.
On Thursday morning, the Union Ministry of Health confirmed the new cases and updated the figures. According to the Union Health Ministry, India reported 9,119 new cases, 10,264 recoveries and 396 fatalities. With this, India has 3,45,44,882 positive cases, of which 1,09,940 are active cases, 4,66,980 deceased cases and 3,39,67,962 recovered/discharged cases.
The COVID-19 updates are available on the official website of the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.) In addition, the COVID-19 recovery is recorded at 98.33 %, the highest since March 2020 and fatality rate at 0.35 %.
Meanwhile, the cumulative doses of the COVID-19 vaccines administered in India so far exceeded 119.38 crores. In addition, as per Union Health Ministry, over 132 crore (1,32,33,15,050) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far. In addition, more than 22.72 Cr (22,72,19,901) balance and unutilized COVID-19 Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
