The daily cases of the Wuhan virus are rising constantly in India, raising alarming concerns for people and the concerned administration. With the constant cases above 13,000 the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) active cases stand at 83,990
On the 23rd of June, Tuesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 13,313 new Wuhan virus cases, with 38 fatalities. The 38 new fatalities include 20 from Kerala, four from Uttar Pradesh, three each from Delhi and Maharashtra, two each from Punjab and West Bengal, and one each from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Mizoram.
In addition, the Health Ministry also reported 10,972 recovered cases in the past 24 hours. An increase of 2,303 cases has been recorded in the active COVID-19 caseload in a span of 24 hours. The new cases were confirmed after conducting 6,56,410 sample tests for the Wuhan virus, taking the tally to 85,94,93,387 to date, said the Indian Council of Medical Research.
With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Tuesday, India has a total tally of Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,27,36,027 are recovered/discharged cases, 83,990 are active cases, and 5,24,941 death cases, to date.
Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.19% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.60% with a 1.21% fatality rate.
Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask-wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 196.62 crore vaccine doses.
