On the 2nd of July, Saturday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 17,092 new Wuhan virus cases, with 29 fatalities and 14,684. In addition, the Health Ministry also reported recovered cases in the past 24 hours. India saw a rise of 2,379
daily Covid cases as COVID-19 infections rose to 1,09,568 active cases.
With the data revealed at 8:00 A.M., on Friday, India has a total tally of Wuhan virus cases, of which 4,28,51,590 are recovered/discharged cases, 1,09,568 are active cases and 5,25,168 death cases, till date.
Furthermore, the active cases comprise 0.25% of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.54% with a 1.21% fatality rate.
Concerned about the rise, many states called for mandatory mask wearing in public and urged people to abide by the Wuhan virus protocol.
Meanwhile, under the nationwide vaccination drive, India administered a total of over 197.84 crore vaccine doses.
