India logged 3,038 new cases of the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus in single day.
On the 4th of April, Tuesday, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) confirmed 3,038 new cases and 9 deaths. With this, the active cases increased to 21,179, whereas the death toll increased to 5,30,901. Of the new deaths, two deaths each were reported from Delhi and Punjab, one each was reported by Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand in a span of 24 hours and two reconciled by Kerala. In addition, the number of recoveries from the Wuhan Virus, reported in India stood at 4,41,77,204.
Furthermore, with the hike in then cases, the active cases now comprise 0.05% of the total infections and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.76 %. Moreover, the Wuhan Virus fatality rate was recorded at 1.19%.
According to the ministry’s website, 220.66 crore doses of the Wuhan Virus (COVID-19) vaccine have been administered in the country so far, confirmed the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR.)
Meanwhile, concerned with the rising number of the Wuhan Virus cases, the Government of India and the state governments issued guidelines, urging people to be cautious.
