On the 18th of November, India’s Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 caseload surged to 89 lakhs or 8.9 millions. 

According to the Union Health Ministry, in the past 24 hours, India reported a total of 38,617 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus.

In addition, the nation reported 474 new fatalities and 44,739 patients recovered from the infection.

The updated data is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

According to MoHFW website data, India has 8,912,907 positive cases, of which 8,335,109 recovered/discharged cases, 4,46,805 active cases.

This is the eighth consecutive day, India maintained active COVID-19 cases below 5 lakhs.

In India, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, West Bengal and Telangana are the places with the maximum numbers of COVID-19 cases.

On the other hand, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) confirmed 9,37,279 tests being conducted on the 17th of November, taking the cumulative total to 12,74,80,186 tests.

India is one of the top nations affected with the highest number of the COVID-19.

The United States of America (U.S.A.,) tops the worst COVID-19 affected nation’s list, followed by India and Brazil.

India also has a recovery rate of 93.52 %, fatality rate at 1.47 % and average caseload at 5 % for COVID-19 till date.
