Medical Health Experts confirmed the nasal vaccine cannot be taken after taking booster dose for the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

According to sources, Dr. N.K. Arora, the Head of the Country’s COVID-19 Task Force confirmed the same and said, “It (nasal vaccine) is recommended as the first booster. For example, if a person has already received a precaution dose, it is not recommended for that person. It is for those who have not yet taken a precaution dose.”

It is to be noted, Nasal Vaccine, iNCOVAC has been introduced on the COWIN Portal, nationwide.  However, this new dose is for those who have been double vaccinated and did not take booster dose.

Dr. N.K. Arora also said, although the new Nasal Vaccine against COVID-19 have been introduced on the COWIN portal, it won’t accept a fourth dose.  Therefore, those taken the booster dose against the Wuhan Virus, are not allowed to take the Nasal Vaccine.  He further said, “The entry point (of the vaccine) is the respiratory system – nose and mouth where the immune system builds roadblocks so that the virus is not allowed to enter so easily into the system… This is going to help in fighting not just Covid, for all the respiratory viruses and infection this is a platform that is going to be very useful in fighting them.”

Meanwhile, world is witnessing a fourth wave of the Wuhan Virus, with a majority of cases from China, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Brazil and South Africa.  A new mutant of the Wuhan Virus (COVID-19) with a massive number of cases has now once again become a major concern for the World Health Organisation (WHO) and other nations.

Speaking of India, the number of cases are below 1,000 everyday, but the union Home Ministry and Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, issues a set of guidelines, directing respective state governments to ensure precaution and combat the rise of cases.

In addition, the Union Government also urged people to be cautious and follow all the COVID-19 protocols, including social distancing and mask wearing, especially when the citizens are in the spirit of New Year celebration.
