Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 4th of January, announced the world’s biggest inoculation drive.

On the 4th of January PM Modi inaugurated the National Metrology Conclave 2021 virtually.

Dr. Harsh Vardhan, the Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences, also marked his presence for the launch event.

The Conclave is organized by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Physical Laboratory (CSIR-NPL.)

The National Metrology Conclave entered into its 75th year of reception this year.

During the inaugural conference, Mr. Modi praised the efforts of scientists and technicians involved in the vaccine development for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

The lauding of Mr. Modi came a day after the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) approved two vaccines of Indian manufacturers for emergency use.

PM Modi said, “World’s biggest COVID-19 vaccination programme set to begin in India. For this, the country is proud of the contributions of its scientists and technicians.”

During the National Metrology Conclave, Mr. Modi addressed the scientists and said it must be ensured that ‘Made in India’ products not only have global demand but also global acceptance.

The theme of the National conclave will be ‘Metrology for the Inclusive Growth of the Nation.

Mr. Modi said, “Quality is as much important as quantity, our standards should rise with our scale in our quest for Aatmanirbhar Bharat.”

Meanwhile, the Union Health Ministry also assured the launch of the Novel Coronavirus vaccine for the Nation by May 2021.

Until then, the Union Government urged people to be cautious and follow all the mentioned guidelines of the COVID-19.
