The Telangana Health Department, on the 22nd of December reported 617 fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
The cases confirmed through a media bulletin released to update about the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.
Of the total new cases, the majority of cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) with 103 cases, followed by 52 cases from Malkajgiri and 51 cases from Rangareddy.
With these updates, Telangana has over 2.82 lakh cases.
The State has 2,82,347 positive cases, of which 1,97,643 are recovered/discharged cases, 6,469 are active cases and 1,518 deceased.
On the other hand, the Telangana Health Department conducted as many as 45,227 sample tests in the past 24 hours for the Novel Coronavirus infection. Total tests for COVID-19 conducted till the 22nd of December in Telangana is over 65.20 lakhs.
In addition, the COVID-19 infection fatality rate in Telangana stands at 0.53 % and recovery rate stands at 97.13 %.
