On Sunday, the 12th of December, Telangana reported 146 new cases of the Wuhan virus (COVID-19.) Besides the new cases, the State witnessed 2 deaths and 189 recoveries. In the past few days, Telangana COVID-19 cases are rising whereas recoveries are decreasing.
The new cases were confirmed by conducting 26,624 sample tests for the COVID-19 infection, of which results of 3,123 samples are awaited. With the tests conducted in the past 24 hours, the State Health Department conducted 2.90 crores of the Wuhan virus tests till date.
The aforementioned data was confirmed through a health bulletin, released by the Telangana Health Department, on a regular basis. The media bulletin of the State Health Department which is being released in the evenings regularly, updates about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.
According to the COVID-19 data, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is the only area, which reports the highest number of cases. Yesterday the GHMC limit reported 72 new COVID-19 cases. With this, Telangana now has 6,78,288 positive cases, of which 3,846 are active cases, 6,70,435 are recovered/discharged cases and 4,0007 are deceased.
The recovery rate of Telangana is at 98.84% and the fatality rate of the Wuhan virus is at 0.59%.
